Alison is a Board Director and has been our Chief Executive Officer since 2021, responsible for turning our strategic aims into business and social impact plans and leading our staff team to deliver on these. She is listed in the WiSE100 2024 list of top women in social enterprise.
Alison’s career as a senior HR professional over 30 years spans both the not-for-profit and private sectors. Alison joined Roots HR in 2013 as an HR Consultant and continues to be a Lead Consultant for us, delivering strategic projects and complex casework for our clients.
Alison also works as a Personal Assistant to Office Dog and Chief Morale Officer Archie, where her varied duties include feeding him treats, taking him on walks and ensuring he has a comfy bed in every room of the house.
Alison has a Post-graduate Diploma in HR and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) the professional body or HR within the UK.
In addition, she holds an ILM Level 5 certificate in coaching and mentoring and is listed on the British Psychological Society’s Register of Qualifications in Test Use (RQTU) for occupational testing.
